If you've never experienced the sheer thrill of white water, now's your chance! We kit you out in a wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet, then run through the basic manoeuvres on dry land before launching onto the river. The course runs a kilometre and a half through swift rapids with names like Ski Run, Graveyard and Donkey's Kick. Talking of kicks, this trip kicks your average theme park white-knuckle ride straight into touch. This activity will last for 2-3 hours and will include 4 runs down the river.
Plas Yn Dre is located in a convenient position on Bala High Street. Bala lies on the banks of LLyn Tegid, the largest natural lake in Wales which is also a mecca in the world of water sports. A busy rural town rich in history, from Socks to the Royalty to local legends like Mary Jones and Betsi Cadwallader.
Plas Yn Dre has been a family run restaurant since 1990 but has gone through quite a transformation in 2017 with a complete re-vamp and the addition of 9 Guest Bedrooms. The building has been sympathetically built retaining as many of the original features of the historic building as possible and furnished and styled in a luxurious relaxed theme. The end result is stunning to say the least and we invite to to come and sample our wares for a drink in our snug or lounge bar, a meal in our relaxed dining room or a nights stay (or 3) in our luxurious rooms.

Fancy a challenge? Soar your way through the spectacular Fforest site on zip lines, and tackle obstacles at every twist and turn. An exhilarating adventure high in the trees!
Thrill 3
One kilometer of gravity driven twists, turns and thrills through our Fforest wonderland. The Coaster is a twisting barrel of laughs through the trees. 3 runs at an approx speed 25mph, that is pretty quick when you are so low to the ground.
